FIVE LIVE SHOWS 'OPIUM OP OEROL'
It was a week of battling the elements, endless rain showers, storms and wind force 6. Thanks to a great team, we managed to create 5 beautiful live shows from Terschelling. This years guests at the table in the dunes are: Herman van der Zandt | Anna Gimbrère, Maike Meijer | Thor Braun, Monique van de Ven | Edwin de Vries, Derk Sauer | Ellen Verbeek, Francis van Broekhuizen | Gregor Bak. They talk to Cornald Maas about their cultural tastes and visit a theater performance at the invitation of Opium. Regular table guest is radio presenter and podcast maker Carolien Borgers. EUROVISION 2024 'DE VOORBESCHOUWING'
For a special talkshow, 'the preview of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024', I will be making television reports together with Hila Noorzai in Malmö. Hila interviews Dutch artist Joost Klein and (almost) all the other participants. And of course we film the beautiful things Malmö has to offer. VOLLE ZALEN - SVEN RATZKE
Spending a few days in Berlin with Sven Ratzke is particularly festive. His widely praised performance 'Marlene' is impressive. Cornald Maas meets Ratzke in an inconspicuous cemetery near the grave of Marlene Dietrich. The conversation focuses on her role in the Second World War, in which she sided with the Allies. What else intrigues Ratzke about the German legend? Sven Ratzke - son of a Dutch father and a German mother - received a Musical Award for his leading role in Rocky Horror Show (2022), and worked abroad with stars as Nina Hagen and Rufus Wainwright.
